Church Membership (New Membership Class): 

Hello Promise,

All is well. God is good. He is blessing Promise, and we are thankful! I hope you're having a great summer so far.

As we continue to take steps forward, I wanted to mention that the Michigan Network (formerly the Michigan District) has voted to streamline its current church classifications to line up with nationally recognized church types. District Supervised Church and General Council Church. We desire to become a General Council church and are well-positioned for this change.

Official membership is a requirement (among other things) for the General Council church designation. Last year we began a membership class. Therefore, I wanted to give one more membership class opportunity. Additionally, Church bylaws are necessary for the State of Michigan. The Michigan Network provides a bylaw template for new churches. First, I will select board members and officers from the membership list. Then, we will meet and vote on the bylaws, hopefully in September.

If you are interested in becoming a member, please join us at 10-12 pm Saturday, July 16, for this class.

We will go over what our church believes and offer an opportunity for questions. Let me know if you are interested.
