Leadership Team

Welcome to Promise Assembly of God! Miss Lynn and I are excited about what God is doing through Promise AG in the DeWitt community and we are overjoyed that you are joining us today. Whether you’re looking for an opportunity to refresh your spirit or possibly searching for a church home, we pray you feel welcomed and embraced in God’s love during your time with us. Perhaps you would consider becoming a part of our Promise family and seeking the Lord on the part you could play in this growing and exciting ministry! We would love to have you join us as we empower all people to press in, press up, press out and press on together as the family of God. (Phil. 3:12-14) - Pastor Tim & Lynn Covert

Pastor Tim and Lynn Covert

Pastor Tim accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of eighteen, marking the beginning of his lifelong journey. After graduating from Lansing Community College, he married Lynn and worked for East Lansing Public Schools. Music played a significant role in shaping his future. They engaged in lay ministry until they began attending First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing, where Tim pursued ministerial credentialing through Berean School of the Bible/Global University. From 1995 to 2018, Tim served as Youth Pastor and Music Minister under various Senior Pastors. Recently, God has called them to start a church plant in DeWitt, MI. Tim is an ordained minister credentialed through the Assemblies of God. They have three married daughters (two biological and one unofficially adopted), three sons-in-law, and ten grandchildren. They love people and helping others find their full potential in life through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
